What is this?
A Grow a Garden Calculator is a value tool for the Roblox game Grow a Garden. It converts a crop's weight, growth mutation and environmental mutations into the number of Sheckles it sells for, covering 565 crops and 199 mutations.
How to Use the Grow a Garden Calculator
The Grow a Garden Calculator works out exactly what a crop sells for in the Roblox game Grow a Garden. A fruit's value depends on far more than which seed it grew from: its weight counts squared, a growth mutation can multiply it by 50, and environmental mutations stack on top of that in a way that surprises most players.
Pick your crop, enter its weight, choose any mutations it picked up, and the calculator applies the game's own formula to show what it is worth per fruit and for a full stack.
1. Choose Your Crop
Select from 565 crops, grouped by rarity from Transcendent down to Common. The base value and base weight for that crop load automatically, and the weight field is pre-filled with the base weight.
2. Enter the Weight
Enter the fruit's weight in kilograms, shown in your inventory. Weight matters more than anything else you control: value scales with the square of the weight ratio, so a fruit at double its base weight is worth four times as much.
3. Pick the Growth Mutation
Choose Default, Gold or Rainbow. Only one growth mutation can ever apply to a fruit, and it multiplies everything else - Gold by 20, Rainbow by 50.
4. Add Environmental Mutations
Click any environmental mutations the fruit has. The 40 strongest are shown by default and you can search all 199. Selected mutations appear as chips you can click to remove.
5. Set Quantity and Friend Boost
Enter how many fruit you are selling and the friend boost from players in your garden - 10% per friend, up to 50%. Then press Calculate to see the full breakdown.
Key Formulas Used in the Calculator
Full Value Formula
Value=Base Value×(Base WeightWeight)2×Growth×(1+∑Mutations−Count)×Friend
Every factor multiplies together. The weight ratio is squared, the growth mutation multiplies the whole result, and environmental mutations stack additively before multiplying in.
Weight Multiplier
Weight Multiplier=max((Base WeightWeight)2,1)
Because the ratio is squared, doubling the weight quadruples the value. The multiplier is floored at 1, so an underweight fruit never sells for less than its base value - but it gains nothing either.
Mutation Stacking
Mutation Multiplier=1+∑Multipliers−Number of Mutations
Environmental mutations add rather than multiply. Wet (×2) and Shocked (×100) together give 1 + 102 − 2 = ×101, not ×200. Subtracting the count stops each extra mutation from re-adding the base 1.
Example Calculation
Wet+Shocked=×101
×101×Rainbow (×50)=×5,050
A fruit with Wet and Shocked reaches a ×101 environmental multiplier. Add a Rainbow growth mutation and the whole thing multiplies by 50 again, for ×5,050 before weight is counted.
Benefits
Uses the game's exact value formula, not an approximation
Covers 565 crops with their real base values and base weights
Includes all 199 environmental mutations plus Gold and Rainbow
Shows the multiplier from every factor separately
Handles the additive mutation stacking players most often get wrong
Rounds each fruit down before applying quantity, exactly as the game does
Warns when a fruit is underweight and the weight bonus is floored
When & Where to Use
Deciding which fruit to sell and which to keep for a mutation
Checking whether a trade is fair before accepting it
Working out whether a Rainbow variant is worth holding for
Comparing two crops of different rarity and weight
Planning which mutations to chase with weather events
Valuing a full inventory stack before a sell run
Settling arguments about how mutations stack
Who Should Use This Calculator
The Grow a Garden Calculator is for Roblox players who farm, trade or sell crops in Grow a Garden - from new players learning why weight matters to experienced traders pricing rare mutation combinations before a deal.
Tips to Get the Best Deal
Weight is squared, so a heavy fruit beats a light one by a wide margin
Never sell a Rainbow fruit without checking its value first
Stacking many weak mutations is worth less than one strong one
A friend boost of 50% needs five friends actually in your garden
Underweight fruit gains nothing from weight - the multiplier floors at 1
Each fruit rounds down separately, so tiny values lose more in a big stack
Game updates change base values, so re-check before a big trade
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How is crop value calculated in Grow a Garden?
Value = Base Value × (Weight ÷ Base Weight)² × Growth Mutation × (1 + sum of environmental mutations − number of mutations) × Friend Bonus. The result is rounded down per fruit before quantity is applied.
Do mutations multiply or add together?
Environmental mutations add, then the base 1 is added back once and the count subtracted. Wet (×2) and Shocked (×100) give ×101, not ×200. Growth mutations are different - Gold and Rainbow multiply the entire result.
How much does weight matter?
A great deal, because the weight ratio is squared. A fruit at twice its base weight is worth four times as much, and one at three times its base weight is worth nine times as much.
Can I have both Gold and Rainbow on one fruit?
No. Only one growth mutation applies at a time. Rainbow (×50) is the stronger of the two and is roughly ten times rarer than Gold (×20).
What is the friend boost?
Each friend in your garden when you sell adds 10% to the sale price, up to a maximum of 50% with five friends.
What happens if my fruit is under its base weight?
Nothing bad. The weight multiplier is floored at 1, so an underweight fruit still sells for its base value - it just gains no weight bonus.
Why is a stack worth less than quantity times the exact value?
Each fruit's value is rounded down to a whole number before the quantity is applied, so a stack is quantity × floor(value) rather than floor(quantity × value).
Pro Tips
Weight is squared, so a fruit at double its base weight is worth four times as much.
Environmental mutations add rather than multiply: Wet and Shocked give x101, not x200.
Only one growth mutation applies - Gold x20 or Rainbow x50 - and it multiplies everything.
The friend boost adds 10% per friend in your garden, up to 50%.
An underweight fruit keeps its base value because the weight multiplier floors at 1.
Base values change when the game is patched, so re-check before a large trade.
